The Story

Here we have a 1950 Mercury Lead Sled. This 74-year-old car doesn’t look a day over five. This 1950 Chopped, custom Mercury began its life as a stock, 2-door Mercury sedan on its original frame. This beauty we have here today is complete with absolutely gorgeous dental work. And why wouldn’t a car with bright teeth like this always be smiling at you? Truly a Timeless piece of history.

In the name, "lead" refers to the use of lead as a body-filler in early days, and "sled" refers to the lowering of the vehicle, giving these vehicles the appearance that they were "slip sliding" down the highway. And boy, this car does not disappoint. This Lead Sled is truly a work of automotive art.
